Step 1: Insert SIM Card into Your Phone
The first step you need to do is insert your activated Rain SIM card into your phone's SIM card slot. Ensure that your phone is off when inserting a SIM card, then turn it back on after inserting the card.
Step 2: Dial the USSD code *130#
Once your SIM card is active, you can activate it by dialing the USSD code *130#. This code will initiate the process, and you will get options on the next screen. Select "Activate my SIM card" from the list; you will then be prompted to enter your South African ID number.
Step 3: Enter Your South African ID Number
In this step, you will need to enter your valid South African ID number. Ensure that you enter your valid ID number because an incorrect ID number can lead to unsuccessful activation or even suspension of service on your account. Once you've entered your ID number, confirm that it is correct, and then press the "Send" button to proceed to the next step.
Step 4: Confirm your Details

Step 5: Wait for Your SIM Card to be Activated
After submitting your confirmation message in step four, you will then have to wait for your SIM card to be activated. This process can take a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the network traffic at the time.
Note: You should not remove your SIM card from your phone during this activation process. Doing so may cause the process to fail, and you'll have to start over. Keep your phone on until you receive a confirmation message indicating that your SIM card has been activated.
