Ingredients Required

  • 500g Wors
  • 2 large onions,
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil/ sunflower oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon of salt
  • 1/4 tablespoon of black pepper,
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Onions

First, peel two onions and cut them into slices. You can make them into bigger or narrower slices depending on your preference, however thinner slices are recommended as they’re more flavourful.

Step 2: Cook the Wors

Next, heat up one tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, put in the 500g wors, which have been separated from each other. Cook the wors in the pan until they are fully grilled on the outside and cooked on the inside.

It is essential to turn the wors after every 3 – 5 minutes to ensure that all sides are cooked. This should take about 15 minutes to cook through.

Step 3: Add the Onions

Remove the wors from the pan and put them on a plate. Add the sliced onions to the same pan in which the wors were cooked, stirring frequently until they soften and become golden brown.

Step 4: Season the Wors

Once the onions are done, put the wors back into the pan with them. Add half a tablespoon of salt, a quarter of a tablespoon of black pepper, and 2 crushed garlic according to your taste. Then stir properly for a minute or two to let the onions mix with the wors.
