- Red chilli powder (1 teaspoon)
- Salt (as per taste)
- Oil (2 tablespoons)
- Water (as required)

To prepare this lip-smacking dish, follow the instructions given below:
Step 1: Marinate The Chicken
The first step is to marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes. In a bowl, add the chicken pieces along with ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and then cover the bowl with a lid. Keep it aside for half an hour.
Step 2: Saute The Onion And Tomatoes
Take a pan and heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Once the oil is hot, add the finely chopped onions and saute till they turn golden brown. Once the onions are cooked, add the chopped tomatoes and continue cooking till the tomatoes become soft.
Step 3: Add The Spices
Once the tomato mixture is cooked, add the cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and red chilli powder. Mix all the spices well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Step 4: Add The Chicken
Now, add the marinated chicken pieces to the pan and mix them with the onion-tomato-spice mixture. Make sure that the chicken pieces get coated with the spices evenly.
Step 5: Add Water And Cook
Add some water as per your preference (around 1 cup) and cover the pan with a lid. Allow the chicken to cook on low flame for about 20-25 minutes till it becomes tender and juicy.
Step 6: Garnish And Serve
Once the chicken is cooked, switch off the flame and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati or rice.
