Step 1: Launch the Capitec App

Once the app is launched, you need to enter your secret Personal Identification Number (PIN). Click on the ‘Log In’ button to proceed. Enter your 5 digit PIN on the provided field and then tap the ‘Enter’ button.

After logging in, click on the ‘Transactions’ tab located at the bottom of the interface. Select the transaction you want to approve by searching from the transaction history. Select the transaction and then click on ‘Approve’

In the next screen, carefully go through the transaction details such as the amount paid, date of payment, and the recipient's details. Confirm if the information is accurate and correct and if you are willing to go ahead with the payment.
Step 5: Verify payment details
After reviewing the payment details, click on the ‘Approve’ button below to continue. The next screen will display the verification process. Verify that you are making the payment to the right recipient then proceed by clicking on ‘Pay’.
If you have enabled transaction authorization feature on the Capitec App, then an additional screen will prompt you to enter the Transaction Authorization PIN for security purposes.
Note:
If you do not have transaction authorization feature on your app, you will be prompted to call the Capitec Contact Centre to activate it. You need to verify your account details with the consultant to activate transaction authorization feature.
Step 7: Approve Payment
The final step is to click on the ‘Approve’ button to complete the payment process. You will receive a notification that the transaction has been processed and completed. You can view the transaction in the Transactions tab of the app.
